Sales Manager at Gameplan
Are you experienced in selling curriculum and digital solutions? Do you have a rich network of connections within school districts?
As a Sales Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between cutting-edge EdTech solutions and the institutions that can benefit from them. Your expertise in K-12 sales is the key to this role by helping districts reach their goals with the help of Gameplan.
We are seeking an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of selling curriculum and Learning Management System (LMS) solutions to K-12 institutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with superintendents, CTE directors, and purchasing directors, demonstrating success in navigating complex educational sales cycles and building lasting relationships with key decision-makers.
Salary
Base: $60 000 - $85 000 + commission
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers within schools districts and state organizations
- Work with CTE and STEAM departments to assess, develop, and expand curriculum offerings.
- Identify client needs, challenges, and goals to enable a solution implementation tailored to their requirements.
- Showcasing how Gameplan’s EdTech solutions can meet the identified needs and contribute to potential clients' goals.
- Navigate deals that can range from $30k to over $1m annually.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit and meet clients' educational goals.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and understand educational trends within the K-12 sector.
- Represent Gameplan at conferences, trade shows, and other industry events to present on stage and network with decision-makers.
Sales background within k-12 is a must.

You have a passion for education and are driven to reach all students, especially those who have been underserved. You see the importance of preparing kids with the new skills needed for the future and the importance of using the kids' interests to motivate them.
Skills and Requirements
- Expertise knowledge regarding district level decision-making
- A large network of people, including superintendents, purchasing directors, CTE directors.
- Comfortable using and showcasing digital platforms and curriculum.
- Understanding how school budgeting and funding could be used to pay for curriculum.
- Knowledge of how Career Technical Education is structured and how Gameplan could benefit those subjects.
- Experience in sales
- Experience in using a CRM system (like HubSpot)
- Live in The USA
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge about the esports industry
- Knowledge about AI
- As an official Minecraft Education partner it is a big plus if you have worked with districts using Microsoft A3-A5 licenses.
