Compensation: Base $150,000–$200,000 + commission and bonus

We are now looking for a hands-on, people-first VP of Sales to lead our sales organization into its next phase of growth. We are the official partner for Minecraft Education when it comes to curriculum and the official provider of the Unreal Engine certification in partnership with Epic Games.
The Role
We’re seeking a coach and builder - a leader who can bring out the best in others, scale our processes, and create a culture of accountability and teamwork. You’ll take ownership of our sales team, refine our operations, and ensure every salesperson has the structure, data, and support to succeed.
You will also take a data-driven approach to lead generation, driving both outbound and inbound performance. You’ll collaborate with marketing to ensure a consistent pipeline, optimize outreach sequences, and use analytics to continuously improve conversion.
This is not a “reporting-only” leadership role - you’ll be deeply involved in the field, mentoring reps, shaping processes, and ensuring consistent results through rhythm, structure, and coaching.
You’ll work closely with the CEO and cross-functional leadership team to align sales execution with Gameplan’s mission of making learning more relevant and engaging for today’s students.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a growing sales team - build a culture of excellence, trust, and collaboration.
Design and optimize a scalable, repeatable sales process grounded in CRM discipline and data-driven decisions.
Drive lead generation strategy - oversee both outbound prospecting (email, calling, events) and inbound lead flow (marketing funnels, follow-up, nurturing).
Implement coaching frameworks, performance metrics, and consistent 1:1 and pipeline review rhythms.
Recruit, onboard, and continuously upskill salespeople; set expectations and hold the team accountable for results.
Work cross-functionally with marketing, customer success, and product teams to align messaging and improve conversion.
Engage directly with key decision-makers in school districts to stay close to the customer.
Represent Gameplan at education and esports conferences.
Requirements
Proven experience leading and coaching sales teams to consistent growth.
Demonstrated success driving lead generation through both outbound and inbound strategies.
Strong background in process design, forecasting, and CRM optimization.
Analytical and structured mindset - uses data to guide decisions and improve efficiency.
Excellent communicator who builds strong team culture and drives accountability.
Hands-on leadership style; comfortable mentoring reps and working alongside them.
Based in the United States and able to travel when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in K–12 education sales, especially selling curriculum, platforms, or digital learning programs.
Existing relationships with district-level decision-makers.
Experience scaling an early-stage or high-growth sales organization.
Ability to attract and bring talented salespeople from your network.
